Burning Lamp Music
A life-story that changed the world. City on a Hill
IT START WITH -
An endless passion for music, for voices,
for discovery, for people, for life.
Burning Lamp Music was founded in the year 2015 and is still a very small and upcoming label. The name originated from Matthew 5:4 “You are the light of the world – like a city on a hilltop that cannot be hidden.” Our aim is to be a light to the world through distributing and releasing music that connects people with the heart of our Abba Father, Jesus Christ and Holy Spirit.
Our heart is for people to experience His unending love and presence through spontaneous and prophetic worship. We want to create a community where people with the same heart can connect with each other through untamed and reckless worship, pursuing the deeper parts of Abba’s heart.
We have been called to awaken the authority of the bride. We have been called to bring heaven to earth through prophetic and spontaneous worship, so that people can be freed, renewed, healed etc in His presence. Our hearts are to create space to linger and soak In His presence, focusing our heart on Abba Father, Jesus Christ and Holy Spirit. To be sensitive to what Holy Spirit wants to do in a specific moment. Our challenge is to not get stuck in the comfort of yesterday, but to be sensitive to the “now song” Holy Spirit wants to release.
We believe that we have been called to be part of a community and to function as a body. Over the years we have had the huge privilege to cross paths with amazing men and woman of God. We want to continue to grow and learn.
We are a married couple currently living/staying in Witbank/Emalahleni. We are expecting our first born in June and we are very excited for the new season. We are both music writers and recording artists.
~ Henrico was raised in Witbank. He had a dream to pursue rugby as a career, but after a few years playing rugby and staying in Pretoria and Johannesburg, Abba called him back to Witbank where he became part of a local church and also part of the worship team.~
~ Anja was also raised in Witbank. After she matriculated she became part of a “service year for Christ” team. They toured through South Africa and later in parts of the USA spreading the gospel of Jesus through the arts. After that she moved back to Witbank and became part of a local church where she joined the worship team and later became a youth worker and prayer missionary. During that time Anja recorded her first album, “That same old place.”~
In 2011 Abba started opening doors for us to minister outside of our church and city. A second album “Love is moving” was recorded. In 2016 the third album (our first album together) was recorded, called: “Arrows – Piercing Love.” Through the years we have learned more and more (And is still learning) what the mandate and flavour is that we are called for. Through many ups and downs I believe that we are being moulded and formed.
Our hearts are thankful and we will continue to run strong by God’s Grace.
“… It is not by force nor by strength, but by My Spirit, says the Lord of Heaven’s Armies.”
